If you are studying a language, it is undeniable that living in a country which uses said language is the fastest way to improve your skills. It’s amazing what humans can do when forced. I study Japanese and went to Japan for the first time in 2016 for a year-long exchange in Kyoto. However despite learning the language for several years before, I wasn’t that knowledgeable about Japan at all. Sure, I could read the alphabets and understand basic sentences, but I didn’t know all those touristy facts that a well-traveled person might. This means I chose going to Kyoto without knowing much about at all but it was the best decision of my life. However it is understandable that it might not be the best suited city for everyone, so I want to break down the characteristics of some possible destinations you would pick from.
I’m a big believer in firsts. First day of school, first day of the year, first relationship, first job. If firsts weren’t special, why do we remember them so well? That being said, it doesn’t mean our firsts always go well. With that in mind, I tentatively write this, my first blog post!
I thought about what I should write about and then I looked at today’s date. July 10th was the day of BTS’ The Red Bullet Episode II in Sydney concert in 2015. Coincidentally, that was also the reason why I started my YouTube channel; I wanted to remember my first K-Pop concert experience and also keep a record of how different my best friend and I felt about BTS after it. How fascinating! The time I decide to start up my blog is also around the same time I started my YouTube channel! It seems like fate is telling me to write about BTS and my K-Pop journey. Hi! I’m not sure how you found my blog, but I hope you find what you are looking for. I’m just starting out so bear with me as I figure things out. I am planning to start several corners for my various interests, such as Japanese, travel, beauty, K-Pop etc. I want to share my views and knowledge on certain topics so I hope they become food for thought to you as well.
